I am a photographer and pilot and I operate Tangozulu Photography out of Leesburg, VA, my focus is aerial, nature, and landscape photography. I typically fly in one of several small Cessna aircraft. They're well suited for aerial photography as they have high wings that don't interfere with photography.
Good photography starts with good preparation. I use several GPS devices and have mapping software to accurately locate the photo locations, angles, altitudes, and some camera settings. I use a high-quality Canon EOS 20D camera and a choice of professional lenses for quality color photos.
Even quality digital cameras need their photos processed for dust, color corrections, haze reduction, lighting, and sometimes need some cropping. I use a state of the art MacOS system with a high-quality monitor for accurate processing and editing.
